DESCRIPTION:
This is a 1024 Kbit
Serial Electrically Erasable PROM in an 8-pin DIP form
factor package that can be used in breadboards or printed
circuit boards. This device is capable of operating across a
broad voltage range (1.7V to 5.5V). It is a low power device
that has both Byte write and Page write capability of up to
128 bytes of data. Write operations to the device can be
disabled via the write-protect feature. The EEPROM is
compatible with the C StampTM microcomputer’s supplies and
signal levels. Reading and writing from the memory is made
easy with A-WIT's supplied software commands I2CIN and
I2COUT. These simple two commands interface is all that is
required to communicate with the EEPROM.
This device is capable of both random and sequential reads.
Reads may be sequential within address boundaries 0x00000 to
0x0FFFF and 0x10000 to 0x1FFFF. Functional address lines
allow up to four devices on the same data bus. This allows
for up to 4 Mbits total system EEPROM memory.
