DESCRIPTION:
The CS452000
Digital Thermometer and Thermostat can measure temperature
in units of 0.5° Centigrade (C) from -55 °C to +125 °C; in
Fahrenheit (°F), in units of 0.9 °F and a range of -67 °F to
+257 °F. This Temperature Sensor provides 9-bit temperature
readings, which indicate the temperature of the device. The
thermal alarm output, TOUT, is active when the temperature
of the device exceeds a user-defined temperature TH. The
output remains active until the temperature drops below user
defined temperature TL, allowing for any hysterisis
necessary. User-defined temperature settings are stored in
nonvolatile memory so parts may be programmed prior to
insertion in a system. Temperature readings and temperature
settings are all communicated from/to the CS452000 over a
simple 2-wire serial interface. The Temperature Sensor is
compatible with the C StampTM microcomputer’s
supplies and signal levels. Communicating with the Sensor is
made easy with A-WIT's supplied software commands TEMPSIN
and TEMPSST. This simple two command interface is all that
is required to setup and acquire temperature readings from
the Sensor.
