DESCRIPTION:
These devices are
8-bit parallel-load shift registers that, when clocked,
shift the data toward a serial (QH) output.
Parallel-in access to each stage is provided by eight
individual direct data (A−H) inputs that are enabled by a
low level at the shift/load (SH/LD)
input. The devices also feature a clock-inhibit (CLK INH)
function and a complementary serial (QH)
output. The devices are compatible with the C StampTM
microcomputer’s supplies and signal levels. The devices are
supplied in a 16-pin DIP form factor package that can be
used in breadboards or printed circuit boards. Interfacing
with the shift register is made easy with A-WIT's supplied
software command SHIFTIN. This simple one commands interface
is all that is required to read the output of a shift
register.
